Arthritis

Arthritis is a name given to a variety of symptoms that manifest as joint pain. There are many different types of arthritis, but the most common are rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Less common forms are psoriatic arthritis, juvenile arthritis and gouty arthritis.

Providing Alternative Arthritis Treatment for Symptoms of Arthritis

A common denominator in all of forms of arthritis is pain and inflammation. Inflammation of the joints is characterized by joint stiffness, swelling, redness and warmth. You may also experience tenderness of the inflamed joint. Specific symptoms may vary depending on the type of arthritis.

One of the most common causes of inflammation is an abnormal immune system response to exposure to interiors of water-damaged buildings (WDB) and consequent biotoxin illness. These exposures stress your immune system leading to imbalances in your hormones, your nervous system and the homeostatic controls in your body.

Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is often a manifestation of excessive acidity and dehydration within the joints. While osteoarthritis can damage any joint in your body, the disorder usually affects the hands, neck, lower back, knees and hips. The typical medications used to treat osteoarthritis pain are not curative and may cause numerous “side effects”. However, a metabolically directed holistic approach to osteoarthritis can uncover and rectify the underlying metabolic imbalances that led to the condition in the first place.

Rheumatoid arthritis

An autoimmune disease, rheumatoid arthritis is often associated with excessive alkalinity and excess fluid in the joints. Typically affecting the small joints of your hands and feet, the disorder can cause painful swelling that eventually results in bone erosion and deformity. Medications that are typically recommended to treat rheumatoid arthritis have one thing in common; these medications reduce your immune system response. Unfortunately, these immune system modifying drugs often can lead to dangerous “side effects”. Worse yet, the underlying metabolic imbalances that caused the condition are left untreated. On the other hand, a metabolically directed rheumatoid arthritis alternative treatment would seek to address the cause of the underlying autoimmune state. This autoimmune mediated inflammatory condition can be improved markedly by proper diet, elimination of environmental exposures to biotoxins, elimination of food allergies, and an intelligently prescribed supplementation and exercise regimen.

Psoriatic arthritis

Psoriatic arthritis has significant overlap with rheumatoid arthritis, however there may be significant skin involvement with so-called psoriatic lesions. A metabolically directed holistic approach can uncover and treat the underlying disturbances in body chemistry that are causative to this painful and unsightly condition.

Gouty arthritis

Gouty arthritis and pseudo gout are caused by crystalline deposits within the joints. These crystals form when your lymphatic fluids lose their colloidal properties and are unable to hold minerals in solution. Both acid and alkaline imbalances within the body fluids can contribute to this situation, as body fluids have the most colloidal stability in a physiologic pH range. You may feel sudden burning pain, stiffness, and swelling in a joint, usually at the 1st metacarpal phalangeal (MCP) joint adjacent to your big toe. Only a metabolically directed holistic approach can uncover and ameliorate the underlying imbalances in your body fluids and connective tissue that create this painful condition. This scientific, personalized approach involves proper diet, elimination of environmental biotoxins and food allergens, and a scientifically designed supplementation and exercise regimen.

Natural Help for Arthritis

Holistic arthritis treatments provide the best long term results. You do not have to live with pain and the fear of worsening disability and dependence on medications.

  • Avoid any foods that can cause a prostaglandin imbalance.
  • Find out what metabolic imbalances are leading to pH imbalances and crystal deposition in your tissues.
  • Find a doctor that will uncover the underlying environmental and dietary triggers that are contributing to your disease.
